Brian Pfaff, for Endless Exit - A project about Skateboarding.
I wrote this about the project about a year ago.
Endless Exit is an exploration of stimuli in daily life. Stimuli that brings meaning to your daily routine. Ending nothing only starting new journeys or commenting on past events and current relationships. In my case my escape is skateboarding. Endless Exit explores skateboarding culture among my friends and I. Exploring how friends interact and how environments are altered to accommodate for our four wheels, rolling endlessly down suburban streets, city sidewalks, and sloping concrete. This series displays my means to investigate my own happiness along with the happiness of friends as a result of skateboarding. The pure act of stepping on and off hard pavement creates a current of adrenaline, fear, and excitement in our bodies every time. So until they lay my body beneath a bare sidewalk or stressed city street I will continue to exit from my own skin and create as I please push, after push, after push.
Now it seems a bit juvenile and dreamy, but I guess thats just how I was feeling about it, so fuck it thats how I feel about skateboarding.
